The kitchen, living and dining area is open plan so you can admire the ocean views while preparing a meal in the gourmet kitchen. Off the living area is the guest room and adjacent guest bathroom.
At the end of the hallway is the master bedroom and en suite bathroom. Both the master and guest bedrooms open onto a private patio. Both bedrooms have queen beds.
Perfect for a family or teenagers, this level has two bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Both bedrooms lead out to private patios in the garden. There is also a wet bar so you can prepare your morning coffee or midnight snack without having to go upstairs.
One bedroom has a queen bed, and the other has two twin beds that can convert into a king bed.
With an expansive deck upstairs, or the garden patios downstairs, there are plenty of areas to relax. Snooze in the hammocks, sip sunset cocktails out on the lookout point, or enjoy an outdoor dining experience. The property also has a variety of tropical fruits and colorful foliage.
Sugar Mill Plantation Guest Book
We have stayed in Sugar Mill for several Februaries now, and each year at renewal time breathe a
sigh of relief that the wonderful owners prefer other months of the year!
You can spend less and
still get a wonderful Guavaberry/Virgin Gorda experience, and you can spend more for more
luxury, but for us this is the near-perfect house in the perfect place. That pretty much says what
we think about Sugar Mill so, rather than more general gushing, here is a list of big plusses and
small minuses to help with others decision making.
A large, comfortable living room with a good view opens to a large covered porch with a
better view, which extends to a "flying bowsprint" open porch with an incredible elevated view
of a big piece of the Sir Francis Drake Channel.
* That Channel, and the beach that Conde Nast Travel Magazine called "the #1 small beach in
the world easily accessible to tourists", is a one minute walk away.
* The master bedroom is very comfortable, with separate two-sink shower room and toilet room.
We cannot stay all winter.
Dan and Elaine – Falls Church, VA
My family has been coming to Guavaberry for the past four years and has designated it
"the best place on earth." We have never been ones to go to the same place more than
once, so it is a true testament to how much we love it that we just keep coming back
year after year! We have been at the Sugar Mill the past two years and absolutely love the
house, proximity to the beach, and the short walk to the Commissary and office.
Everyone we have met, from the support staff to the guests, are always lovely and
absolutely enrich the trip. We have explored all the other beaches on the island and
always realize that "our" beach at Guavaberry is by far the best on the island! We cannot
wait to be back again next year...
